Sixth Form Open Event

Monday 1 March 2021

Dear Parents, Carers and Students

I am delighted to be able to inform you that the Emmanuel College Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Thursday 11 March, 6:00-8:00pm.  Unfortunately, this will not take place in College this year but will be held virtually, the details of which are below.  This invitation is open to all Year 11 students at Emmanuel College, and also all students from other schools who are interested in joining our Sixth Form.

Every year we are fortunate to have students from other schools join our Sixth Form community, and we are immeasurably strengthened because of this.  Any students that are interested in joining Emmanuel Sixth Form are encouraged to join us for our Virtual Open Evening to find out more.

Our Virtual Open Evening will comprise two parts:

From today you can view our Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening webpage here which contains:

  • Our 2021-2023 Prospectus
  • Short subject videos for all the courses we offer at Sixth Form
  • A video tour of the College

I would encourage you this week to read through the Prospectus and in particular watch the subject videos for the courses that you might be interested in taking.

Following this, if you have any questions about subjects we offer, a more general query about studying at Sixth Form, or would like to request a more detailed conversation about subject choices, please submit your query here.  Please submit any queries you have by the end of this week.

Thursday 11 March

On Thursday 11 March at 6pm you will be able to watch an online webinar when Mr Waterfield and I will talk about what life is like in the Emmanuel Sixth Form, as well as explaining the application process.  The webinar will be recorded and published on our open evening page so that this can be watched again.

Following the webinar, until 8pm, pre-arranged virtual meetings and phone calls will take place for students and parents who have submitted questions about courses or wish to discuss subject choices in more depth.

Yours sincerely

Mr J Lloyd

Head of Sixth Form
