Networks in Action
A standout example of this commitment is our annual Year 12 London Residential, an immersive experience designed to connect students directly with leading institutions, employers and Emmanuel alumni at the very highest level.
Over three days, nearly 200 students visited world-class organisations including the Bank of England, Financial Times, Antler Group, Parliament, and Horizon-22, alongside cultural landmarks such as the British Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Science Museum and Natural History Museum. Students engaged with economists, journalists, entrepreneurs, MPs and communications professionals, asking questions, taking part in debates, and gaining first-hand insight into a wide range of career pathways.
A particular highlight was the alumni reception, where students networked with former Emmanuel students now working across finance, politics, media, entrepreneurship and healthcare. Honest conversations about ambition, resilience, setbacks and success allowed students to see what is possible, and how to get there.
Throughout the visit, students developed confidence, leadership and communication skills, stepped well beyond their comfort zones, and began to think boldly about their futures. From debating policy in Parliament to speaking on camera at the Bank of England, this was an experience that brought aspiration to life.
This is networking with purpose, and opportunity in action.
