Outstanding A Level Results at Emmanuel College

We are delighted with a truly outstanding set of A Level results at Emmanuel College today, which is a tribute to the hard work of our students, and the support and dedication of our staff.

Overall, for our A Level and vocational subjects, the percentage of A* grades (18%) and A*/A grades (47%) or equivalent are the highest we have seen in the last five published years.

An outstanding 8.3% of A Level grades were an A*. Furthermore, the percentage of A Level grades at A*/A was a fantastic 32% and grades at B or above at 64%. Both of these percentages are an increase on 2019. The average grade at A Level was a B.

We are so proud of the achievement of the 45 students who pursued a vocational route at Emmanuel. The average grade for vocational subjects was a Distinction, the equivalent of an A at A Level.

For our students studying A Level, five students achieved four grades at A* or A and 12 students achieved three grades at A* or A. 20 students achieved the equivalent of three A grades or higher in their vocational results. Collectively, this represents 30% of our students.

Our students are leaving Emmanuel College to pursue a huge range of courses and university options. These include six students studying Medicine and two Dentistry. We are also continuing our proud record as a City Technology College, with nine students leaving Emmanuel to study Computer Science related qualifications. 13 students will be studying Engineering.

A number of our students have successfully combined both BTEC and A Level courses of study and have secured places at university to study subjects such as Biomedical Sciences and Criminology with Psychology.

Congratulations to all our students who have worked so hard and deserve to be celebrating their successes. All the best in your future endeavours!
