‘The Poetry is in the Pity’ – national competition winner
Congratulations to Head Boy Patrick Foley who has been judged National Winner (in his age category) of Oxford University’s #OwenLastDays competition. This project, designed to commemorate the centenary of First World War Poet Wilfred Owen’s last days, asked students nationwide to present a piece inspired by the ‘Legacy of Wilfred Owen’. Enthused by his studies and his independent reading, Patrick chose to narrate his personal response to Owen’s poetry over a series of images that he had selected.
