A group of nine students stormed to victory in the First LEGO League Robotic Challenge hosted by Nissan.

Their mission was to design, build and code a robot to complete 12 different tasks, plus give a presentation of their innovation project in front a panel of judges.

First was the presentation, and the judges were very impressed.  The word “WOW!” was the constant reaction, especially when they saw the Gantt charts of project planning and robot mission strategy.

The first round of the Robot challenge was a practice round, so there was no pressure to get a good score … which resulted in the worst points total of the day!  The second round was the real thing.  Now the pressure was on, and our team really rose to the challenge.  They scored their highest score, the day’s highest score and the previous day’s highest score and were declared winners of the Robot Challenge trophy.
